A LITTLE ABOUT THE CREATOR
The Man Behind the Hugger
Allen Boldt began making things out of wood at a very young age. Pictures of him hammering nails at dads workbench go back to his 3rd birthday. He is a hobbyist mostly creating things from wood in his spare time in the garage. He has designed and made furniture, accents, shuffleboard tables and is currently turning and decorating the beer huggers (koozies) as shown on this site.
He is a native of St. Louis where he makes his home today. Turning beer huggers on a lathe is a fairly recent endeavor that continues to expand and become more exciting. Each hugger is a bit unique because they are all carved by eye without using measurements, patterns or fixtures. These hand-made huggers make a special gift for that special person. It takes time to create each one but the result is truly something cool and different. Thanks for your interest in my hobby.
